What is DappRadar?

DappRadar

The site is accessible to everyone, from beginners who don’t yet know what services are most popular to advanced users who want to discover new services.

What is Dapp?

To begin with, what is Dapp?

Dapp stands for “Decentralized Application. Simply put, it is an application operating on the blockchain. Since data on the blockchain is managed in a decentralized manner, for example, it cannot be manipulated by specific businesses.

Until now, data on the Internet has been monopolized by giant companies such as GAFA, and only those companies with such data have been able to utilize it. However, there are concerns that if this situation remains unchanged, data that is inconvenient for the giant companies may be deleted, or biased information may be provided. This is where decentralized data management using blockchain technology came into focus, and Dapp refers to an application that runs on the blockchain.

There are various types of Dapp, such as SNS, games, and financial exchanges, and new services are being developed every day. DappRadar collects all of them and categorizes them by blockchain, market size, and type of Dapp. DappRadar is a platform that collects these data and categorizes and analyzes them by blockchain, market size, and type of Dapp. It will help you to identify new services that are emerging one after another, and to find reliable sites with high transaction volume.

Features of DappRadar

DappRadar deals with the hot topic of Dapp, but what features does it have? Let’s take a look at some of them.

Currently, RADARs can be obtained by exchanging them for other virtual currencies through a decentralized exchange called “SushiSwap”.

You can also collect information through Blog articles.

DappRadar has a “Blog” section. Here, news related to Dapp, such as DeFi and NFT, is updated daily, and you can get the latest information related to web3. All articles are written in English, but you can use translation tools to help you gather daily information.

How to use DappRadar with images

From here, we will explain how to actually use DappRadar to browse Dapp information with images. Since there are quite a lot of functions, it is recommended to focus on the information you want to collect.

Change of Currency Units and Languages

DappRadar’s top page is designed with the current trends of Dapp and NFT scattered throughout. First, select the icon in the upper right corner to change the currency unit and language.

DappRadar supports Japanese yen and Japanese. However, the Japanese translation is not very good, and there are some sentences that are difficult to make sense of or not supported by the translation. In some cases, the display will be corrupted, so those who understand some English are recommended to use DappRadar as it is.

How to Sign Up and Connect to Wallet

To sign up, select “SIGN UP” from the top right icon as well as the currency and language selection. Then, register using either “Digital Wallets”, “Email”, or “Social Networks (SNS accounts)”. Here we will explain how to register using MetaMask.

Now select “Metamask” from “Digital Wallets” to authenticate your Metamask connection.

Once you have signed up, you will be able to take advantage of member-only airdrops and NFT giveaways. If you simply want to connect your wallet and analyze your asset status, you may do so only by connecting your wallet without signing up. The procedure is as follows.

To connect your wallet, select “Connect” in the upper right corner. After selecting “Metamask,” follow the same steps for connecting and signing the wallet as you did for signing up.

Once the wallet is connected, the wallet information will be displayed as shown below.

Checking your portfolio

Once you have connected your wallet, you can check the virtual currencies and NFTs you hold. Selecting “Portfolio” from the menu at the top of the page will display information about the tokens and NFTs stored in your wallet, as well as their legal tender equivalents.

The menu on the left side of the page provides more detailed information on the tokens and NFT collection, airdrops available to you, token swaps, and more.

Checking Dapp Rankings

The main feature of DappRadar is the ability to analyze Dapp by size and nature. Click on “Rankings” at the top of the page to check the rankings.

We will now look in turn at the items that can be classified and analyzed for Dapp.

1. blockchain

Here you can select the blockchain on which the Dapp you wish to analyze is operating. Blockchains are added sequentially, and you will see that even quite minor ones can be viewed on DappRadar.

2. Category

The “Categories” section allows you to narrow down the type of Dapp. Games” is for blockchain games, “DeFi” is for decentralized finance, and so on. This is a very useful feature, especially if there is a particular type of Dapp that you want to know about.

3. Filtering

Here you can further refine your search. First, the leftmost “NEW” button displays only recently launched Dapps. The Dapps to be filtered by this button are marked with “NEW” to the left of their names.

In the following “Filter”, you can filter the three items “Balance (total amount of assets managed by Dapp’s smart contract)”, “Users (number of wallets registered in Dapp’s smart contract)”, and “Volume (total amount of revenue on Dapp’s smart contract)”. You can refine the items by specifying the numerical values.

Select one of the three items, enter a numerical value, and click “APPLY” to make a decision. If you are eligible for the “DappRadar PRO” service by meeting the requirements, such as holding a certain number of RADAR, a proprietary token, or providing liquidity through SushiSwap, you will be able to select two or more filters at the same time.

Finally, the rightmost “24H/7D/30D” allows you to change the type of graph displayed in the “ACTIVITY” section of the ranking. Selecting “24H” will display the trend over the last 24 hours, “7D” will display the trend over the last 7 days, and “30D” will display the trend over the last 30 days.

4. Ranking

Based on the extraction criteria up to this point, a ranking will be displayed. The image above is without any refinement to the chain, category, or filter. The “USERS” field is underlined in blue, so the ranking is displayed in order of users. By checking the Dapp of the chain and type of Dapp you are interested in using, in order of operational amount and number of users, you can see which Dapp is most frequently used and which Dapp is relatively safe.

Check the NFT ranking

By clicking “NFTs” at the top of the screen, you can check the NFT rankings. As in the “Rankings” section above, you can select by chain and various filters, as well as check rankings by NFT collection in “Top Collections,” by NFT work in “Top Sales,” and by NFT marketplaces in “Marketplaces. You can also check rankings by NFT collections in “Top Collections,” by NFT works in “Top Sales,” and by NFT marketplaces in “Marketplaces.

Check DeFi’s ranking

Dapps related to DeFi (decentralized finance) can also check their ranking on DappRadar. Again, by selecting “DeFi” from the menu at the top of the screen, you will be taken to the DeFi ranking page, where you can select a chain and change the graph of the amount under management.

Scrolling further down the screen, you can see more detailed DeFi related Dapp rankings. Again, by entering values from the “Filter” field, it is possible to narrow down and display Dapp based on values such as “CAP (total amount invested in that Dapp)” and “TVL (total assets deposited in that Dapp)”.

Other Items

In addition to NFT and DeFi, you can also view graphs of the top Dapp operations for blockchain games, gambling, and exchanges. Although it is not possible to extract or sort the data in such detail here, all of these are very high-profile Dapp genres, and new features may be added in future updates.
